The Good Dog 🐕 by Avi

The Good Dog, by Avi, was a nice little story, and this was the type of books I like to read. I really liked McKinley and his deeds of bravery, but I didn’t really like the way Jack treated him after he chewed his backpack 🎒 .

There was a good choice of characters, and I think 🤔 there was a good storyline.

It was a good book, although it was one of the kind that I like to read, and your preferences might be different, but I liked this book 📖.

The Homework Machine by Dan Gutman

Cover art

This intriguing book by Dan Gutman held on to me as I opened the first page.

There was always something cool going on. From a break in, to a mysterious email, this book is filled with surprises.
Brenton was nearly half-robot by his behavior, and Judy just smart.
Ms. Rasmussen was just a bit too over suspecting.

Overall, it was a good book, and mystery readers will love it.

Molly Moon and the incredible book of hypnotism by Georgia Byng

Georgia Byng’s wondrous book has really caught my attention. After reading the first chapter, I just couldn’t stop! the first few chapters actually get you hooked. Molly’s hypnotic gift leading her to fame was interesting to read about, and Nockman’s villainous ambitions were just hilarious! If only the book went on longer… it was great anyways.

This book is a must read for people that are into fantasy and it won’t disappoint you.

The Strange case of Origami Yoda by Tom Angleberger

Cover Image
The Strange Case of Origami Yoda is an interesting story about a 6th grade boy named Dwight Tharp who creates an origami Yoda, that gives everyone good advice, but there are some suspicions about the finger puppet. First of all, Dwight isn’t very smart, let alone he can predict the future, so how’s Yoda so intelligent? Most of the 6th graders are asking Yoda questions now, but not Harvey Cunningham! He is determined to prove that Origami Yoda is a fraud, and to find what’s behind it. This story is narrated mainly by Tommy Lomax, a fellow 6th Fraser who wants to prove Yoda is real, but find out how it’s working.
This is a very interesting story, and it really got my attention.

The Witches-Roald Dahl

TheWitches.jpg

‘The Witches’ is a hilarious book, a classic by Roald Dahl, about a young, 7-year-old, orphan, who lives with his grandmother, a retired witch, and has grown up listening to stories about the evil witches and how they want to eat up all the children in the world.
When they are forced to cancel their vacation to Norway because Grandmamma becomes ill, they are suggested to go to a luxury hotel in southern England, where they live, and it turns out that the annual meeting of the witches of England is being held there, and present is The Grand High Witch herself, and only the boy knows!
This is an exciting story of how the boy, along with his Grandmamma, will prevent the witches from using their latest serum, and removing all children from the whole world!

Rain Reign by Ann M. Martin

Rain Reign is a delightful book by Ann M. Martin, about an autistic fifth grade girl named Rose, who is struggling in school, and at home. When she is given a stray dog by her father, she is overjoyed and forms a deep bond with the dog she calls Rain, all until Rain gets lost in a storm. Rose loves Rain, and is determined to get her back.

This is a tale of hope, fondness, and determination, and it really lit my ears; it’s a great book.
